A charity shop in High Wycombe will permanently close at the end of this month.
The British Heart Foundation Furniture Store, which is situated along the town’s High Street, is due to close up for the final time on Saturday, July 27.
The announcement was made around two months ago, but on Monday, July 15, the store revealed a 50 per cent discount to customers on all second-hand items.
The offer has been widely appreciated by shoppers as the store begins to empty out.
A source told the Free Press that the reason why the BHF is closing its furniture department was down to the ‘dilapidated building’ the charity is in.
This has caused ‘several problems’ in recent months.
The source also revealed that everyone who works in the branch will be made redundant.
The shop sold items such as TVs, sofas, cabinets, rugs, tables, beds and mattresses amongst other household goods.
Despite the imminent closure, the town’s other branch along White Hart Street will remain open.
One customer told the Free Press: "It's quite sad, to be honest.
"It's one of the best charity shops in town as I’ve got a fair bit of furniture from there."
