In what is continuing to be a decidedly haphazard summer, weatherwise, Buckinghamshire is in for another mini heatwave this weekend – before temperatures drop back to the low 20s next week.
Although this week has seen more cloud and rainy showers than your typical British July, it’s not time to completely pack away your deck chairs or sunglasses just yet.
The Met Office is predicting “dry, very hot and humid” weather on Sunday, August 11, and Monday, August 12, with temperatures across the county expected to hover between 30 and 32 degrees on both days.
That’s after picking up to a respectable 25 degrees on Saturday and dropping back to 23 next Tuesday.
The mini heatwave will come as warm air moves up from Europe, with a Met Office spokesperson describing it as “short-lived but quite intense”.
