A man from Aylesbury has been sentenced to four years behind bars after pleading guilty to supplying and intention to supply cocaine and weed.
Ryan Elston, 31, of Ebble Close, pleaded guilty to the charges, as well as two counts of acquiring, using and possessing criminal property at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday, August 2.
He will serve a jail sentence of four years and two months for the offences, which reportedly spanned both Aylesbury and Stoke Mandeville.
Police were first alerted to the 31-year-old’s activity after discovering a large stash of cannabis and cash in a vehicle in which he was a passenger in February 2022.
He was released under investigation, then arrested again in October 2023 after officers stop-and-searched him in the Aqua Vale car park and found cash and items relating to drug supply on his person.
Elston was charged on June 17 this year, after the investigation concluded that he had been supplying cannabis since February 2022 and cocaine since last October.
Investigating officer PC Gary Ratcliffe, based at Aylesbury Police Station, said: “This conviction and sentencing shows that police will robustly target those who deal illegal drugs, and the courts will put them in prison.
“The information from the public around drugs supply offences plays an important role in helping to stop illegal drugs supply, which will not be tolerated.”
Anyone with information that could help the police to clamp down on illegal drug supply in the region can make a report to Thames Valley Police’s online portal, call 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
