A property developer from Beaconsfield will host Jordan Belfort at a VIP event this autumn with a guestlist including Tommy Fury.

Samuel Leeds, 33, who owns an eponymous training centre in his Bucks hometown and claims to have made millions through property investment, first met Belfort – whose autobiography The Wolf of Wall Street was adapted into a Golden Globe-winning film in 2013 – five years ago.

Leeds, who also advises high-profile clients on investment strategy, said the upcoming talk would be a “once in a lifetime opportunity” for students of his Bucks-based academy to pick up tips from “the best salesman in the world”.

Belfort’s spectacular rise and fall from grace, recounted in the Scorsese production, saw him building one of the best successful sales organisations in Wall Street history during the ‘80s and ‘90s before being jailed for fraud and money laundering in 1999 and spending 22 months behind bars.

Since his release, he has become an in-demand public speaker, however and can definitely count Leeds among his fans.

The 33-year-old said: “Spending a day with Jordan revolutionised by business – just learning how he does sales.

“The whole system he teaches and uses in his business I adopted in mine, and it just blew it up.”

Among Leeds’ famous clients is reality TV star and boxer Tommy Fury, recently in the headlines for his high-profile split from fiance and Love Island co-star Molly Mae Hague.

Fury, who is the half brother of former world heavy weight boxing champion Tyson Fury, is also expected to attend Belfort’s talk in October – with Leeds sharing that he invited the 25-year-old along after learning that The Wolf of Wall Street was his favourite film.

The talk will be held on October 12 at a yet-undisclosed location in London that will reportedly be revealed at short notice “for security reasons”. For more information, visit https://shorturl.at/jNdWr.
