Police towed a land rover from the end of Marlow High Street after identifying several offences including obstruction and a lack of insurance and MOT.
Officers in Thames Valley Police’s Neighbourhood Policing Team spotted the vehicle while on patrol on the high street on Sunday, August 18, and initially assumed it was a “straight-forward” case of unnecessary obstruction, resulting in a fixed penalty notice.
Upon investigation, however, the driver was found to have committed a number of offences, including parking on double yellow lines, blocking drivers from the mini roundabout, displaying unregistered number plates and failing to renew their insurance or MOT.
They were handed a £30 fixed penalty notice and a £190 recovery towing fee alongside storage charges.
A spokesperson for the force urged motorists in the town to "be considerate when parking and ensure your vehicle is road legal”.
