High Wycombe has been named the second most affordable location for coffee drinkers in the UK - on the basis of the trusty flat white.
With the town's average flat white costing £3.52, High Wycombe residents' average salary could buy 41 cups daily, a figure second only to St Albans.
The rankings form part of the Flat White Index, compiled by digital PR agency Tank, which assessed coffee prices in more than 90 locations.
While a flat white in St Albans costs eight pence more on average, at £3.60, residents could purchase 49 cups daily thanks to their higher average salary of £46,292.36 (compared to High Wycombe's £37,475.52).
Bristol ranked as the most expensive city for coffee aficionados.
The average flat white there costs £4.25, while the average salary is £28,430.16, making for a daily cup total of just 26.
Martin Stone, director at Tank, said: "Coffee and creativity go hand in hand, and as a digital PR agency we often pop out to our favourite local coffee spots for a quick takeaway or to catch up with colleagues and clients.
"The coffee industry is thriving and here in Nottingham, where Tank is based, we are surrounded by quirky independent coffee shops and chains like the city’s own 200 Degrees.
"They each have distinctive branding, atmospheres, and Instagrammable interiors – and are a much-loved part of the business community."
Experts have predicted a sharp 25% price increase for coffee beans this year, with a £5 coffee era set to hit London, according to Tank.
