A charity drive to collect free books for children has been launched.
More Leisure Community Trust (MLCT), which manages five leisure centres in Buckinghamshire, is partnering with national charity the Children's Book Project to collect books for children who cannot afford their own.
The charity drive will run from October 7 to October 31.
The charity aims to tackle 'book poverty' and provide every child with the opportunity to own a book.
James Ewart, contract manager for MLCT, said: "We’re delighted to be working with the Children’s Book Project.
"This is an important cause, so we would encourage everyone to bring their spare children’s books to our centres and play your part in giving a child the gift of reading."
The participating leisure centres are Aqua Vale Swimming & Fitness Centre, Swan Pool & Leisure Centre, The Beacon Sports Centre, Evreham Sports Centre, and Little Marlow Athletics Track.
