High Wycombe-born actor turned American TV presenter James Corden was one of many celebrities to have attended the funeral of One Direction star, Liam Payne.
A private service was held on Wednesday, November 20 at St Mary the Virgin Church in Amersham Old Town as many friends and family paid their respects to the late 31-year-old.
Payne, who moved to Buckinghamshire at the start of the decade, died on October 16 after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina.
Corden, who grew up in Hazlemere, teamed up with One Direction in 2015 as part of his ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment not long after landing the job as The Late, Late Show host in the US.
The bit proved to be a huge hit with fans and to this day, it is one of the most viewed clips on YouTube (that isn’t a music video), with over 200 million views.
