Pop band Steps are taking their official musical on a major tour.
Here and Now will begin its UK and Ireland tour at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on August 29 and 30, 2025.
The musical, produced by the band along with other contributors, is set to feature Steps' hit songs.
It has an original script by Shaun Kitchener, and is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh with choreography by Matt Cole.
The story is set in a seaside superstore, Better Best Bargains, and follows the character Caz as she navigates a summer of love turned sour.
The narrative unfolds with themes of love, betrayal, and the pursuit of a happy ending.
Steps, comprising Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Ian 'H' Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans, and Lisa Scott-Lee, have had a successful career with 14 top five singles, four number one albums, and 22 million record sales.
The band is known for hits such as Tragedy, Heartbeat, Stomp, One For Sorrow, and Better Best Forgotten, all of which are set to feature in the musical.
Steps' comeback tour in 2017 sold out 300,000 tickets, marking it as one of the biggest pop tours of the year.
Since then, the band has continued to release new music, including two iTunes number one singles: What The Future Holds in 2020 and the Michelle Visage duet Heartbreak In This City in 2022.
Steps celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2022 with a headline summer tour and the release of the number one album, Platinum Collection.
This achievement positioned them alongside other historical groups like ABBA, Rolling Stones, and Stereophonics, as bands that have achieved number one albums across four consecutive decades.
Priority booking for the musical is already open, and general sales are set to begin at 1pm today, November 20.
Tickets can be purchased at theatretickets.com/Aylesbury with an additional booking fee.
Fans of the band and musical theatre enthusiasts alike will be eagerly anticipating the launch of this new tour, celebrating the hits and legacy of Steps.
