The Ridgeway's natural beauty is the focus of an arts competition.

The Swire Ridgeway Arts Prize, celebrating the Ridgeway National Trail's landscapes, has opened for entries.

Organised by the Friends of the Ridgeway, the competition has been running since 2017, encouraging artists to be inspired by the changing colours and hues of nature across the Chilterns and North Wessex Downs.

This year's theme is 'Colours and Hues of the Ridgeway,' and it includes four categories: wall art, photography, sculpture, and writing.

Both professionals and amateurs can enter, but all work must have been produced within 24 months of the closing date, March 28, 2025.

All entries will be displayed on April 26 and 27, 2025, in Uffington's Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall and later online.
