A High Wycombe KFC branch wants to extend the hours it can sell food until midnight.
PLV Enterprises Limited has applied to Buckinghamshire Council to vary its premises licence so customers can order delivery or click-and-collect from the Wycombe Retail Park branch up until 12am.
Currently, the fast-food restaurant is open for walk-ins and takeaway orders until 11pm, but the operator is seeking permission to extend its offering by an additional hour.
In the application, the company states that during the extended hours, if approved, the only people visiting the site would be delivery drivers or customers who have ordered and pre-paid in advance. No walk-in customers would be accepted after 11pm.
Under the section addressing the protection of children from harm, the applicant said that children are unlikely to visit the site at that time of night, but if they do, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Residents and members of the public are now being invited to have their say. The full plans can be viewed on Buckinghamshire Council’s licensing portal.
In June the restaurant was given the go ahead for a revamp of its signage, with new KFC internally illuminated letters, a box sign, decorations to the existing signage and light above the shop as well as a new projecting sign.
The planning officer’s report at the time described the changes, it said: “The proposal submitted seeks to update the design and colour scheme of the existing signage on-site which was granted in 2009.
“The corner plot location of the existing restaurant with a wrap-around front and side elevation will be replaced with updated design of red, black and white colour scheme of the brand’s logo and brand name.
“The main lettering of the brand name and projecting sign to be retained as existing positioning but will be replaced with new designs of signage.
“Existing positioning of trough lighting above the fascia signs are to be retained and re-lamped with LEDs.”
