A museum is celebrating the 1990s this Christmas with a special countdown.

Discover Bucks Museum in Church Street, Aylesbury, is launching the '12 Days of 90s Christmas Countdown' linked to its exhibition, I Grew Up 90s.

The countdown will begin on December 13, and will run until Christmas Eve.

People can take part through the museum's social media platforms.

Each day, there will be a new 90s-inspired festive treat to explore, including retro games, classic toys, and quirky memorabilia.

I Grew Up 90s is open over the Christmas period.

Open until February 22, 2026, the exhibition provides a retro gaming lounge, featuring consoles such as the Super Nintendo, Sega Mega Drive, PS1, and Game Boy, along with pop culture artefacts, TV and film items, music, and toys.

Sam Mason, CEO at the museum said: "Christmas is a perfect time to share the joy of the 90s."

“Our countdown is full of fun surprises and nostalgic moments that will delight both those who grew up in the decade and a new generation discovering it for the first time.”

The I Grew Up 90s exhibition and the 12 Days of 90s Christmas Countdown are open to the public, providing a retro yet festive day out for all ages.
