Cecily Day Spa is planning an "innovative spa break" where guests can prolong their treatment with overnight stays at The Barn, Dukes Place, Marlow.
The building is currently an office space.
The plans say: "The existing 2-storey building comprises of several offices distributed horizontally, along the building."
The listed building is a five-bay timber frame barn with an old tile roof.
The proposed changes would be "internally only, very minimal, non-intrusive and easily reversible".
The proposal states: "The proposed works are meant to improve the space conditions and respond to the proposed new use as beauty salon with ancillary overnight accommodation for the guests."
It includes redecoration, replacement lighting and replacement of an existing WC with a shower room.
There is a Cecily Day Spa location at 136 High Street, Berkhamsted.
On social media, the company describes itself as a "decadent spa home to indulgent relaxation experiences".
It adds that the spa offers "a range of mani’s, facials, massages and pamper packages, Cecily is the perfect place to enjoy in the company of friends or spend quality ‘me-time’."
The plans were discussed at the Marlow Town Council Planning and Transport Committee meeting on March 3.
The council shared "no objection" to the plans, subject to the opinion of a conservation officer.
