Big Pete monster truck to come to Bucks Country Show

The bank holiday event, held at Penn House Estate, Beaconsfield, will see Big Pete, the world’s only real monster truck, perform.

Standing 16ft tall and 12ft wide, Big Pete weighs 7.5 tonnes and can leap 15ft into the air.

Accompanying Big Pete will be Grim Reaper, a modern monster truck known for its bodywork and aerial displays.

The Bucks Country Show, taking place on Sunday, May 3, and Monday, May 4, also features BMX stunt displays, the Kangaroo Kid Stunts team, Shetland Pony Racing, and a dog and duck show.

There will be falconry displays by Angie and Rick and an interactive History Revisited village.

Food enthusiasts can enjoy live cookery demonstrations and browse stalls run by local businesses.

Entertainment throughout the day will include magic shows, Punch and Judy, the Buccaneers touring musical, and family-friendly wrestling.

Live music from local musicians will also feature.

The We Love Dogs area will return, hosting charity fun dog shows with more than 20 classes, plus an owner and celebrity lookalike competition.

Other activities include dog agility, Dogs Have Got Talent, and flyball.

For younger visitors, there will be meet-and-greet superheroes, puppet shows, reptiles, a traditional fairground, and a petting farm with donkey rides.

Visitors can also explore the rural crafts area, where artisans demonstrate traditional crafts.

The Speed Chainsaw Carving team will perform, and there will be an Archery Have A Go experience.

The Bucks Country Show opens from 10am to 5pm on both days.
