Dozens of baby baskets filled with newborn essentials have been assembled for families in need.
The baskets were created during a community event in High Wycombe organised by Kindness in Bucks, a community interest company supporting vulnerable families across Buckinghamshire.
A total of 32 baskets, containing clothing, toiletries, blankets, and Moses baskets, were put together in a single day and will be distributed to new parents through local hospitals and community networks.
Amanda Armitage, head of community engagement at Kindness in Bucks, said: "We are so grateful to every single person who came along to support us.
"The generosity, kindness and community spirit we saw on the day was truly overwhelming.
"Having the Mayor join us was a real honour and it meant so much to our volunteers."
High Wycombe Mayor councillor Majid Hussain attended the event, volunteering alongside the team and helping assemble the baskets.
Volunteers of all ages took part, including families, community members, and knitting groups.
Organisers also thanked those who supported behind the scenes by organising donations and building stands for the baskets.
Special mention was given to JB’s Coffee Shop in High Wycombe, which provided the venue as well as storage, refreshments, and ongoing support.
Kindness in Bucks continues to work closely with local hospitals, midwives and organisations to identify families who would benefit most from these baskets, ensuring support reaches those who need it most.
Kindness in Bucks is now appealing for donations of baby toiletries, nappies, bottles, and Moses baskets in new or excellent condition.
