A Buckinghamshire National Trust site has been closed to visitors as filming takes place for mega film studio, Warner Bros.

Waddesdon Manor in Aylesbury was shut to visitors from Wednesday, June 17 to Friday, June 19 for 'location filming', it has been revealed.

The house and grounds were open again on Saturday June 20 and Sunday, June 21, but access to the usual visitor route in the house and on the north front, plus the aviary and pleasure gardens, were affected by the film crews on site.

It gave guests a chance to look for clues on what the undisclosed filming project could be, with few hints except for Warner Bros-branded lorries moving equipment around the site.

A spokesperson for the National Trust's Waddesdon Manor said: "We are working hard to minimise disruption for our visitors and all other areas are open as normal.

"Profits from filming help care for Waddesdon Manor, including conservation work and, through the Rothschild Foundation, funds work in the arts, local community and the environment."

It's not the first time the historic, French renaissance-style Loire chateau has been transformed into a film set.

It was first used as a filming location int eh 1960s, and since been the backdrop for major feature films, TV dramas, documentaries and series, adverts and national broadcasts.

Titles most recently include Netflix's Back in Action (2025), Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2022), The Crown season five (2022) and Sony Picture's adaptation of Cinderella (2021) starring Camila Cabello.
