A Great British Bake Off star is set to help launch a new housing development.

Redrow South Midlands will unveil two showrooms in Salden Place in Milton Keynes during an event on September 5, running from 11am to 4pm.

Bake Off 2024 finalist Dylan Bachelet will officially open the site with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a live demonstration at 11am, where he will prepare choux bun desserts for visitors to enjoy.

Emma Wetherill, sales manager at Redrow South Midlands, said: "We are delighted to invite the people of Milton Keynes to join us as we celebrate the launch of Salden Place.

"We’re thrilled to be bringing beautifully crafted homes to the region.

"With a famous face in our show home whipping up delicious, sweet treats, we’re sure it’s going to be a very busy day.

"We can’t wait to show all this fantastic new development has to offer and how each of our homes provide something a little different for families and couples of all shapes and sizes at different life stages.

"Our sales team will also be on hand to answer questions and talk about the array of incentives, including the popular part-exchange scheme designed to make moving easier.

"Our doors are opening soon and we can’t wait to welcome everyone in."

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the two show homes on display, the Leamington Lifestyle and the Highgate.

Both properties feature Redrow’s Arts and Crafts-inspired exteriors and bright, airy interiors designed for modern family living.

The homes include eco-friendly features such as heat pumps and enhanced insulation, offering energy-efficient options for buyers.

Salden Place, located on Buckingham Road on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, will eventually comprise 144 two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes from Redrow’s Heritage Collection.

The development is close to the M1 and the A5 and next to Bletchley Station and Milton Keynes Central Station, which offers direct services to London Euston and Birmingham New Street.
