South Central Ambulance Service is inviting teams to take part in a 24-hour CPR awareness marathon across Reading, Oxford and Buckinghamshire.

The CPR-A-THON will run from 10am on September 24, 2026, until 10am on September 25. Participants will complete continuous sponsored CPR on manikins, taking turns to perform 30 chest compressions at a time.

Organisers say teams can be made up of friends, family members or colleagues. Mini challenges and half-time entertainment are planned during the event.

The fundraiser aims to raise money and awareness about CPR, while helping communities learn how to respond during emergencies.

The event is being organised by South Central Ambulance Charity. Registration is open, with teams encouraged to join. People can find further information, including venue choices, and register through the charity’s website at scascharity.org.uk/events/cpr-a-thon-2026/.
