A police cordon is in place on a High Wycombe road following a crash.

Emergency services are attending the scene on Lane End Road at the junction with Horns Lane today (September 3).

Thames Valley Police has confirmed the road is expected to remain closed for "several hours" while emergency crews deal with the incident.

Images from the scene show a police cordon in place near the start of Lane End Road, with several motorists being forced to turn around.

Drivers are carrying out U-turns as they approach the closure.

Lane End Road and Horns Lane are rural routes on the western edge of High Wycombe, providing access towards Adams Park, home of Wycombe Wanderers.

South Central Ambulance Service says it does not normally provide updates on individual incidents unless they have a significant impact on services or there is a need to inform the public.

Thames Valley Police has been approached for further comment.

No other information about the crash has been released at this stage.
