Floral tributes have been left at the scene of a crash in High Wycombe where a 19-year-old woman lost her life.
Images obtained by the Bucks Free Press on Friday (September 4) show bouquets of flowers, including sunflowers, placed beside a tree on Horns Lane near the junction with Lane End Road.
The tributes have been left at the spot where a red Ford Fiesta collided with the tree in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Thames Valley Police said the crash happened at around 2.20am on September 3.
The vehicle is understood to have left the road before striking the plant, which has visible damage to its bark.
Police have also erected witness appeal signs nearby as investigations continue.
Sadly, one of the four occupants of the car, a woman in her late teens, died at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The three other occupants sustained minor injuries.
One remains in hospital receiving treatment, while the remaining two have since been discharged.
A 19-year-old woman from High Wycombe has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
The road was closed for well over 12 hours following the collision while emergency services attended the scene and carried out investigations.
Throughout the day, traffic was diverted and motorists were forced to find alternative routes, with some commuters seen making U-turns near the junction on Cressex Road.
Numerous tributes have also been paid online following news of the young woman's death.
Eleanor Hamilton wrote: "That's every parent's worst nightmare.
"I hope all the families involved are going to be alright."
Councillor Darren Hayday added: "My thoughts with the families involved."

Investigating officer Sergeant Richard Martin, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: "Firstly, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this extremely difficult time.
"We are appealing for anyone with information or witnesses who may have been at the scene and have not yet spoken to us, to please get in touch.
"I also ask any drivers who were in the area at the time and have dashcam footage to review it, as it may contain important information about the collision or the moments leading up to it."
