COUNCILLORS have been left shocked after a fire raged through two sheds and nearly spread to parish council offices.
The sheds behind Little Missenden Parish Council's offices burnt to the ground at 5.50pm last Tuesday but firefighters arrived just in time to prevent the fire from ripping through the adjacent offices, Rosetti Hall, in New Pond Road, Holmer Green.
John Barlow, parish council clerk, said: "I came up to find the fire brigade here, and they said if it had been another five minutes, the roof of the offices would have caught fire."
No one was hurt or injured in the blaze.
Two 13-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with the incident. They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
