FURTHER to another accident in High Wycombe last week when a refuse lorry overturned in Parker Knoll Way, would it not be prudent for the traffic planners to rethink the positioning of traffic lights and pedestrian crossings?
For some reason crossings are frequently positioned very close to the junction of roundabouts, which is so often the place where accidents occur.
In this case the lorry fell onto the footpath just where pedestrians would expect to wait to cross and it can only be divine providence that prevented loss of life or serious injury.
It is such a serious issue it must be addressed.
