POLICE have launched a murder inquiry over a body found in a garden, police said this afternoon.

A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with the find in Marlow Road at High Wycombe railway station.

The body was found at about 3am today and a man was arrested about half an hour later at the station.

A cordon remains in place by the station on Amersham Hill.

Police are carrying out enquiries at the address where the body of the man was found. He is believed to be in his forties.

A Thames Valley Police statement said: “House-to-house enquiries have been conducted and a post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place later today.

“The dead man, thought to be aged in his forties, has not yet been formally identified.”

A 20-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of assault, remains in police custody.
