FORMER Chesham player Ernie Cooksey has followed Wayne Andrews and Fitz Hall in joining Oldham Athletic.
Cooksey, who played for Chesham in 2001/02 under Bob Dowie, joined Oldham after a season for Crawley Town.
The midfielder was spotted by Dowie, who is now the chief coach for Oldham, managed by Bob's brother Iain.
Meanwhile, Chesham drew 2-2 with Chertsey in their first pre-season friendly on Saturday in Watford.
Chertsey took the lead through Dwayne Ackerman, before Ben Smith equalised.
Martin Jackson then beat Matt Ramsey to restore Chertsey's lead but Chesham equalised again when Daniel Braithwaite's free-kick was headed into his own goal by Lee Taylor.
Chesham play Aylesbury tonight at The Meadow (ko 7.45pm) and could play new signing Gary Sippetts.
The Berkhamsted striker joins his old manager Steve Bateman at The Meadow.
