WAREHOUSE manager Mike Morgan overcame his fear of flying to jump out of an aeroplane and raise money for charity.
Mike, 29, of Cedar Avenue, Hazlemere, raised £380 for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund by parachuting from the plane over the Oxfordshire countryside.
He was inspired to raise the cash after losing his mother to cancer three years ago and made his leap last week.
Mike admitted he was scared of flying and that he found the money raising venture particularly terrifying but after just 20 minutes of training in the glorious sunshine he was ready to jump.
He said that as he jumped all his thoughts were concentrated on his mum's memory and the money he was raising for such a good cause.
And when he finally reached the ground with an unsteady landing that caused his instructor to fall over, Mike was so pleased to have made it that he got down on his hands and knees and kissed the ground. His jump went so well that Mike says he would not mind doing it again.
