A FUEL leak caused by a car accident led to traffic chaos this morning, as the road between Amersham and Hazlemere had to be shut to motorists.
One car was involved in the accident, which took place shortly before 11am on the A404 near Penn Street.
Fuel was leaking from the car, a black Renault Clio, and the road was shut at both ends, and traffic diverted, from around 11.18am.
Firefighters from Amersham were called in to stem the leak and make the scene safe. A woman was released from the car, suffering minor injuries, just before they arrived.
Police said the road was reopened at about 12.28pm.
