CHOIR singers will bring festive cheer to the Eden Centre this Saturday in the grand final of the Xmas Choir competition.

The event, in association with Mix 107 and the Bucks Free Press, will start at 2pm as the judges look for the county's best amateur choir.

Schools, churches and the community will have a chance to showcase their talents in three nail-biting heats.

The judging panel will be Holly Robinson, Deputy Editor of the Bucks Free Press, MIX 107 Breakfast presenter Steve Ludlow and John Beaumont, Chairman of Wycombe Arts Festival.

Choirs will be judged in categories including musical ability, presentation and enthusiasm, and groupwork.

Similar to ITV's X-factor, fans of the choirs can vote for their favourite until Friday, with a percentage of their votes added to the judge's verdicts.

Winners of the final will receive £2,000, with runners up receiving £500 and £250.

The choirs performing are: Knights of Harmony, a male barbershop from Chesham; The William Borlase's School gospel choir, from Marlow; St Louis Catholic Primary School, from Aylesbury; Amersham A Capella, from Amersham; Gerrards Cross Vocal Performance Academy; Stokenchurch Primary School; St Augustine's Church Choir, from High Wycombe; Seer Green CofE School.
