A HOSPICE charity has thanked Marlow Town Regatta and Festival Committee for helping them to continue providing specialist nursing care to patients.
Thames Hospice Care received a cheque for £650 raised through the committee's charity raffle held at their recent annual dinner, attended by Sir Steve Redgrave and Olympic rower Zac Purchase.
The organisation said the money was a significant sum because it would enable them to provide 43 hours of specialist nursing care. Committee member Lance Slater said: "We were delighted to contribute this amount to such a worthy local charity as a result of this hugely popular event."
