YOUNG performing arts students across the area are preparing for a nail-biting wait to find out if they have broken a world record.
Now the students of Stagecoach must wait until January for verification from The Guinness Book of Records to see if they have staged the largest number of simultaneous performances of one show.
A total of 84 Stagecoach schools across the world took part in Saturday's challenge, according to Clare Davis, principal of the High Wycombe branch.
The schools in Beaconsfield and Amersham also took part in the record bid.
Mrs Davies said: “It was brilliant, they all had so much fun.”
Students staged performances of the show 'Glad Rags', written specially by Veronica Bennetts, Stagecoach’s director of education.
This time around, the High Wycombe school is fundraising for two charities - Interact and the Ian Rennie Hospice at Home.
