A PRIMARY school has become one of only eight in the county to gain a top environmental accolade.

Marlow Church of England Infant School, based in Sandygate Road for pupils up to the age of seven, have been awarded the Green Flag - the highest level a school can achieve for ecological friendliness.

Deputy headteacher Suzanne Best said: “ We are especially pleased to be receiving this award in recognition for all we do to encourage our children, staff and parents to be environmentally aware.

“One of our most outstanding areas was in relation to the children's understanding of recycling and our global links with Uganda.

“This award has been a culmination of many years of environmental hard work and with thanks to all the parents and staff who have support us over many years.”
