ELVIS will be adding some rock 'n roll to the festive cheer tonight, as he switches on the Christmas lights in Amersham On The Hill.

Top impersonator Rob Kingsley will perform from 6.30-7pm in Sycamore Road and again from 7.20-7.50pm in Hill Avenue.

Councillor Martin King, town mayor, said: “It's going to be big – it's grown and grown over the weeks.”

The lights themselves are set to be switched on at 7pm.

More than £2,000 worth of prizes will be given out in a raffle.

Visitors will also get to enjoy carols, a Father Chirstmas and sleigh, fairground attractions, clowns, Irish dances, live band performances and a range of charity and food stalls.

Sycamore Road and part of Hill Avenue will be closed to traffic from 2.30pm onwards.
