POLICE have released an E-fit image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the burglary of an 87-year old.
At about 2pm on Sunday, November 30, two men posing as staff from the water board called at a property in The Homestead, High Wycombe.
Once inside, one man distracted the 87-year-old resident while the other searched the property and stole a cheque book.
PC Mike Anderson, from High Wycombe police station, said: “If you recognise the man in the E-fit, or you have any information which may assist us with our enquiries, please contact me at Wycombe police station via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
“I would like to remind residents to remain vigilant when opening the door to unexpected callers. The water board does not exist and anyone posing as a member of staff should be reported to the police.”
Anyone with information can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
