A WYCOMBE mum is calling for public support to get a Chris Rea song released to raise funds for children’s charities in memory of Baby P.

The Facebook forum ‘Campaign to get Justice for Baby P’ hopes to re-release the Chris Rea hit ‘Tell Me There’s a Heaven’.  The campaign wants the tune available to buy in the shops by Feb 23, so that it will be in charts for what would have been Baby P’s third birthday on March 1 next year.

Lisa Cosburn, a mum of two from Barn Court, joined the forum two weeks ago, and has seen the campaign quickly move forward.

She said: “Before the record label actually put the song onto download, they want proof of substantial public demand. All the people at the top have confirmed that they are willing to do this, if, we can show that the public want it.”

She added: “We are at the last hurdle of actually making this happen for Baby P and the children we can still save.”

The Facebook group already has nearly 5,000 members supporting the song release, but Lisa says they still need more.

The group will be marching the streets of London this Saturday, giving out leaflets to help get as many supporters as possible.

Lisa, of Barn Court, said: “We are all just trying to get the public aware of this because 5,000 just isn't enough, people just aren't aware of what we're trying to do”.
