A BUDDING chef beat six competitors to win a place in the next round of a national cooking contest.
Great Marlow School student Jordan Flint was the victorious cook in the local heat of the National Rotary Cooking Competition.
Pupils had to come up with a two course meal for a £9 budget in one and a half hours.
His winning entry was a Spaghetti Carbonara followed by a fruit flan.
Rotary member Lance Slater said: “We were delighted to run it as the Rotary Club, it's something we have been doing for years.
“There's a raft of things we do to help benefit the children of Marlow and in the area such as this.”
Jordan will now test his culinary skills against pupils from other schools in the next round.
