A ROYAL Marine reportedly from High Wycombe, who died in Afghanistan on Friday, was actually from Sheffield, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
Lance Corporal Steven Fellows, 26, was on routine patrol in a Jackal armoured vehicle in the Helmand province when a roadside bomb exploded, killing him.
A number of news reports on the tragedy have said the serviceman came from Wycombe.
The MoD said the location originally given for Lance Corporal Fellows’ home was incorrect.
