A HOUSING firm is offering buyers free gas, electricity and water for a year in a bid to beat the property downturn.
Barratt Thames Valley says the offer, for its Downley Park development, will save buyers thousands.
Prices at the development start at £279,000, £294,000 and £483,000 for two, three and four-bedroom homes. None have been reduced.
Michael O’Leary, managing director at Barratt Thames Valley, said: “Paying utility bills is one of the biggest variables in most households’ disposable income.
“So when gas and electricity prices are as high as they are now, everyone feels the strain.”
He said: “That’s why we’re offering to pay your bills for a year if you buy a new home at Downley Park.
“You could have literally thousands of pounds more to spend for the next year, by which time economists think the worst of the recession will be over.
“This is one of the many great packages we have available for people who are buying into the market at just the right time.”
