MORE than 150 production jobs are to go at herb, spice and seasoning company McCormick because of a restructuring within the business.
President of McCormick Europe John Molan told the 480 staff at the Haddenham factory of the 160 redundancies on Tuesday. They will take effect from May and will be phased over the year.
The job losses follow McCormick's decision to re-organise the European sales growth and operations after its acquisition of French company Ducros last September.
The changes mean that the industry food processing business will remain at Haddenham while retail consumer products will be transferred to France.
Mr Molan said: "We very much regret that some jobs will have to go at Haddenham as part of our reorganisation and we will be considerate and fair in supporting our employees through the coming months.
