Students at Amersham & Wycombe College are celebrating their A-level results this year. The Amerham campus was a hive of activity this week as hundreds of students eagerly opened their envelopes.

Student Stephanie De’Courcy-Hughes, 17 from Prestwood, achieved A grades in AS Level Psychology, English Literature and Fine Art. “I’m stunned but very happy to see the results,” said Stephanie, who will be staying on at the College to complete her A2 Level studies.

Laura Johnson 18 from Ruislip is another student riding the crest of a wave. “I’m very pleased with the results, they are better than I’d expected,” she said in reference to her A grade in Film Studies and B grades in Drama and Theatre Studies. “The College is very supportive and the tutors are so helpful,” she added. Laura will be starting an Acting Degree at the University of Central Lancashire this autumn.

Alice Wood 18 from Berkhampstead simply exclaimed “fantastic” on realising she had secured A2 Level passes in Sociology, English Language and Government & Politics with A, B and C grades respectively. Alice will be going on to study Politics at Leeds University.

"Every student who has achieved this year deserves our congratulations,” said Gill Clipson, Principal & Chief Executive for the College. “The path for many students has not been easy and some have had personal obstacles to overcome. It’s testament to their determination and hard work that students have been able to reach their A Level objectives,” she concluded.
