AGM of the Community Association is on Tuesday, February 19 at 8pm. If you are a member, affiliated member or one of the invaluable group of volunteers please support this event. After the meeting there will be cheese and wine to make the occasion more convivial.
PRESIDENT of the Gardening Association, Les Taylor, urges all gardeners to come and join. The gardening shop is open on Sundays from 10am at the Cedar Barn in Cedar Avenue. Onion sets, compost, bulbs, seeds and other goods are on sale at very keen prices to members. Organised lectures and visits to public gardens are arranged by the entertainments section and the association arranges a couple of shows each year. The first one is in April this year at the Community Centre.
WI members are holding a jumble sale at the Community Centre in the Small Hall on Saturday, February 23 from 10am until midday. Entrance is free and there will be a cake stall.
VALENTINE Disco at the Community Centre on Saturday, February 16 starting at 8pm. Every lady receives a gift, tickets are now on sale from the social club bar, or the office. Prices are £4 members and £7 non-members.
EASTER raffle tickets will be on sale at the Community Centre from Sunday, February 17.
INDOOR Car Boot Sale on Saturday, February 23 at the Community Centre from 11am until 1pm. Refreshments are available including cake stall and tombola. Why not hire a table and sell? Tables are £7 on the day and £6 if you pre-book. To book your table phone 01494 815741 or 01494 716567.
