SOFTWARE engineers came out on top at a quiz in Bourne End as more than £1,000 was raised for charity.
The Rotary Club of Bourne End and Cookham staged the quiz at Wye Valley School on Friday, with all the proceeds going to Eradication of Polio.
There were 19 teams competing and Embarcadero, based at Thames House on Marlow Road, beat off some stiff competition including Chives Sandwich Shop, Bourne End Motors and a team of Rotarians.
