NEIGHBOURS today expressed their shock about the death of a Marlow mother-of-three who died in a skiing accident in Austria.
The Pound Lane resident, 46, has been named in the national media and BBC as Tracy Boland, although there has not been official confirmation yet.
She is said to have died after colliding with a 26-year-old Dutch woman, who is in hospital with severe injuries.
One householder, who did not wish to be named, said: βIt's a shock and our thoughts go out to them.β
A spokesman for police in the Austrian resort of Kaprun, Anton Steiner, told reporters: "We are not sure how the accident could have happened.
"The slope was not difficult and there were excellent skiing conditions. Experts are accessing the scene of the accident to try and find a cause."
Police say neither of the skiers had been wearing crash helmets, compulsory for children in Austria but not for adults.
