DOWNLEY'S Beat Bobby, Police Constable Learie Bacchus, will be holding a surgery on a one to one basis for any residents with any relevant points or problems they would like to clarify regarding policing of the village. The meeting will be held at the old Victorian School, School Close on Monday, February 17 between 10am and midday.

TICKETS are now available for the quiz night to be held in the War Memorial Hall on Saturday, March 29. These cost £6 and can be purchased from the Post Office or by calling 01494 436161 or 01494 531719. This price includes fish and chip or chicken and chip supper.

THE young Downley Dynamos Football team had mixed successes in their games played last Sunday. The weather as usual forced some of the games to be called off. However, the under sevens finished with honours in their games against Hughenden Valley, goals were scored from Jordan Lane, Jordan Roberts, Alex Eaton and James Fifield. The under nines had mixed but favourable fortunes in their games against Towersey, Sam Harris, Calvin Anns, Chris Lillie, Michael Croft and Mikey Paulin were goal scorers. The under 14s Colts drew 2-2 with Bourne End with goals being scored by Tim Hands and Richard Hudson. Tim Hands was Man of the Match.

THE Woodlands Pre-School are holding a quiz night at the Downley Donkey on Friday, February 7 commencing at 7.45pm. Tickets are £6 each which includes a fish and chip supper.
