LAWRENCE Dallaglio, Simon Shaw and Joe Worsley have been chosen for England's 27-man training squad for the Six Nations, which begins in two weeks.
Gatland said: "I'm very pleased for them. Simon Shaw probably has played his best performances this season."
Josh Lewsey was not considered due to his hamstring injury.
And Kenny Logan's reward for his recent impressive displays is a call-up to Scotland's training squad.
Gatland said: "He didn't play that well before Christmas when the weather was poor but since then, he's played a lot better and defended particularly well."
