A MURDER investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found in Stokenchurch on Thursday morning.
The dead man, 32-year-old Clive John Petty, from Chalfont St Peter, was found in a flat in Bartholomew Tipping Way at 11.35am yesterday.
Two men were arrested an hour later on suspicion of murder and they are currently being questioned.
A post mortem examination was carried out later on Thursday and the man is believed to have died from head injuries. An inquest into the death will be opened at the beginning of next week.
Police would like to hear from anyone, especially in the Stokenchurch area, who may have information or who may have witnessed a man in his early 30s being assaulted on Wednesday or Thursday morning.
