Wycombe will be hoping for third time lucky as they look to finally play their match away to Swindon on Saturday after two postponements.

Bad weather has twice forced the cancellation of the Southern Counties North match but Wycombe want the match to be played to try and extend their lead at the top of the table.

Skipper Rob Dorling said: "We've got a game in hand on Aylesbury and are two points clear so a win would put us four points clear.

"Conditions are probably against us and it will be a hard, physical game but we're looking forward to it."

Wycombe finally got to play their first match since December on Saturday when they beat Slough 23-5 in a disjointed match at Kingsmead.

A penalty by Johnny Smith and try by Anthony Dorling put Wycombe clear, with Smith adding a further try to make it 13-0 at half-time.

But Slough struck back in the second half to make it 13-5, with Wycombe having to keep Slough at bay as they piled on the pressure.

But Wycs held out and Kieran Mann scored from an interception to make the game safe.

Dorling said: "Our defence was about the only good thing to take from the game."

Seven players have been selected for the Buckinghamshire Senior Squad for the upcoming County Championship. They are Sean Molloy, Rob Dorling, Alistair Foyle, Adam Stubbs, Steven Philpott, Ian Thompson and Smith.

Chiltern secured an imprtant 15-13 win over fellow strugglers Stow-on-the-Wold on Saturday away from home.

Stow took the lead with a try but Chiltern came back with tries of their own through Martin Smith and Andy Sitzberger.

But back came Stow and only a late penalty from James Cornish kept Chiltern ahead.

Chiltern have a tough away trip to second-placed Oxford Harlequins tomorrow.
