MARLOW left it late to record a win in a seven-goal thriller at home to Aveley.

The Oak Tree Roaders took the lead on 12 minutes when Robert Gibson touched home. But the lead only lasted five minutes when Tommy Lee equalised with a header.

John Isaac restored Marlow's lead before half time but the game looked to have turned in Aveley's favour through two second-half penalties, both converted by Steve Dickenson.

Time was running out but Marlow kept battling and were rewarded when Sam Shepherd's shot took a deflection and went in, before Grant Goodall grabbed the winner in stoppage time.

There was still time for Luke Bauckham to be sent off, with Marlow hanging on for the win.
