RUGBY: The Royal Grammar School are through to the Daily Mail Schools Cup semi-final.
The school, which produced England's most capped, scrum half Matt Dawson and England's youngest scrum half in 20-year-old new cap Nick Duncombe came from behind to demolish John Fisher 23-7 on Wednesday.
They powered their way through to a semi-final clash against Midlands side Oakham School or Hull's Hymers College despite being without John Hammond who broke his ankle on duty for England schoolboys against New Zealand.
After going a converted try behind the RGS put 27 unanswered points on the board. Kicker Dan Martin got them going with a penalty before tries from Andrew Scobie, John Ray and Andy Daniels turned it round and kept the RGS on ourse for the Twickenham final.
Their performance made up for the U15's exit from the competition a week earlier. They bowed out 18-10 to St Paul's London.
