SOLO pianist Ayako Kondo will be giving a rare lunchtime performance at Wycombe Swan in the coming weeks.

The graduate of the Royal College of Music spends most of her time in her native country Japan, but has returned to England to take part in the free recitals.

She will be joined by pianist Katrina Blandy, also a graduate from the RCM, who has been organising and performing in the Lunchtime Concerts at the Swan for some years.

Katrina now enjoys both teaching at a number of local schools and playing at regular performances.

The cellist at the lunchtime recitals is Christine Wells who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music. She also plays organ at a number of churches in the Hambleden valley and teaches cello at Wycombe High School.

The concerts at Wycombe Swan are as follows:

Wednesday, 1.10pm at The Oak Room, light lunches available from 12.30pm. Featuring Christine Wells and Katrina Blandy with works by Beethoven, Granados and Charlie Chaplin.

March 6, 1.10pm at The Oak Room, light lunches available from 12.30pm. Featuring Ayako Kondo on piano with works by Mozart and Debussy.

March 20, 1.10pm at The Oak Room, light lunches available from 12.30pm. Featuring Soprano Guyathri Patrick and William Patrick on piano with works by Schubert, Donizetti and Lehar.
