AS fear spreads among parents over the controversial MMR vaccine, the BFP has set up a voteline to find out what South Bucks residents think about the issue.

The Government continues to assure parents that it is safe to administer the vaccination against measles, mumps and rubella as a combined dose.

But others argue there is a small risk the jab can cause autism or a bowel disease to develop in children and would prefer the vaccinations to be administered in separate doses.

Health officials are fearful that the diseases will make a comeback as the number of vaccinated children drops and remind parents the consequences of mumps, measles and rubella can be very serious, even fatal.

If you have recently faced the issue of whether or not to give your child the MMR vaccine, reporter Margaret Smith would like to talk to you. To e-mail Margaret click her by-line above.
