FUNDRAISING for the St Mary's Tower development project has been continuing. Last week local band Loose Covers performed 60s to 80s music for an evening of rock classics enjoyed by all. Although organiser Francesca Flaxton was a little disappointed that the capacity audience did not materialise, she has been pleased to report that the evening raised over £400 for the project. Work is progressing well in the tower, providing creche facilities, and toilets and kitchen areas. Outside work on the paths has been a little hampered by the prevailing mud but a dry spell over half term will help.
